"American Vintage Made with Japanese Craftsmanship"
Born in postwar America, the “PACK TEE” began as workwear and as an undershirt for everyday life.
It was a garment closely tied to the routines of ordinary people.
WASEW reinterprets that fashion culture, shaped by American daily life, through Japanese craftsmanship and perspective.
That is the “PACK TEE” WASEW creates.

"The Real Vintage"
Not vintage-inspired, but a true vintage T-shirt.
The texture lost in exchange for production efficiency was recreated through traditional methods still preserved in Wakayama.
What we sought in this vintage cotton was not excessive function, but a fabric that still carries a sense of the life it once belonged to.
At the same time, we focused on comfort as an undergarment and a weight that resists transparency even when worn in heat.

"All Made in Japan"
Changes in industrial structure have also affected the sewing industry.
Today, only a limited number of factories in Japan can properly handle tubular fabric, which was essential for a PACK TEE without side seams.
From fabric to sewing, completing every process through Japanese craftsmanship — that is one of WASEW’s core commitments.

We believe wearing a T-shirt is something closely tied to everyday life itself.
That is why we aimed for a finish that becomes more familiar to the body the more it is worn.
The “PACK TEE,” a garment that can be seen as one of the origins of American street culture born from ordinary life, is revived on vintage knitting machines in faraway Japan. This is a piece with that kind of romance behind it.
