Wrinkle-free shirts are common, but WASEW’s "B.D ONE OXFORD SHIRT" takes a different approach — making wrinkles look better with wear.
Of course, ironing creates a clean and refined appearance. However, wrinkles naturally develop through daily wear. With this shirt, those wrinkles become part of the character, thanks to a unique and specially developed fabric.
The "B.D ONE OXFORD SHIRT" uses WASEW’s original Oxford fabric, woven on a vintage shuttle loom in Bishu, Ichinomiya City, Aichi — an area long known for textile craftsmanship.
These vintage shuttle looms operate at less than one-tenth the speed of modern machines, producing a thick yet soft and airy fabric. This natural softness allows wrinkles to form in a beautiful way. Some of these looms are nearly 100 years old, and with the original manufacturers no longer in business and fewer skilled craftsmen remaining, production is increasingly limited.
This rare fabric is used to create the "B.D ONE OXFORD SHIRT," available in White, Gray, and Black. Below are styling examples for each color.
